I’ve been asked recently to post the full Periodic Table of Dynamic Management Object 11 x 17 poster as well as creating a drill-down functionality for the individual DMOs here on my website. I’m more than happy to comply with the first request and here it is. Updates for 2012 on the Way
That leads into why I’ll not be producing a drill-down of these DMOs any time soon…
Before long I’ll be updating the Periodic Table of Dynamic Management Objects for SQL Server 2012! This is going to be quite a laborious process now that I’ll need to find a place for the new Availabilty Group DMOs (among other enhancements.) I’ll also be reorganizing the existing DMOs to better fit their functions and relationships. The process of creating this tool was difficult enough and extremely time-consuming. The updates will prove to be just as laborious and the drill-down technology for the website will be exponentially harder as I will be learning the process and coding of image maps as I go along.
I don’t plan to start any of the enhancements for the Periodic Table of DMOs, nor this drill-down functionality until after the next SQL Cruise taking place 1/26/2013 out of Miami. If you’re interested in attending that SQL Cruise or the one taking place in Alaska in May of 2013. At the time of this writing there were still a handful of seats, but the discount for the 2013 cruises expires this month.
